Popularly known as the valley of glaciers the Langtang valley is rich in pine forests, swiftly flowing streams, rocky terrain and meadows with daisies and wild primula. This 8 day long trekking is a combination of camping and home stay or lodge stay. The Langtang Tamang heritage tour makes a wonderful Cultural trip to the Sherpa village and offers a great chance to learn the culture of the Tamang people residing there.

The Tamang village in the Langtang valley is habituated by people of Tibetan descent. This area is less frequented by tourists and the native culture is largely untouched. Animals like bears, leopards, red pandas and musk deer are found in the area. The Rhododendrons color the forests in red during March and April.

You will get to learn the history of the people here, their Tibetan ancestors, their current mode of life and occupation. They have Buddhist descendants who rely on agriculture and trade for livelihood. Their costumes are colorful and the houses are decorated with woodcarvings. All this in the backdrop of the Langtang mountain range makes it a compelling place to visit.
